A diffuse parenchymal
lung
disease
caused by accumulation of inhaled
CARBON
or
coal
dust
. The
disease
can progress from asymptomatic
anthracosis
to massive
lung
fibrosis
. This
lung
lesion usually occurs in
coal
miners, but can be seen in urban dwellers and
tobacco
smokers.
